Detailed Selling Lead Description
Fiberglass roofing mat is a non-woven material, composed of uniformly distributed glass fibers and bound by means of organic additives-mainly thermosetting resins. These form a mat, which after curing is rolled up and ready for dispatch. It is not susceptible to atmospheric agents and UV rays, supple and traction resistant, will not rot and is dimensionally stable. Its porosity makes it easy to impregnate, while it also demonstrates good chemical resistance and possesses excellent waterproof, anti-corrosion and fireproof characteristics.
The mat provides effective reinforcement for bituminous coatings and improves their dimensional stability. These will not rot and will guarantee the waterproofing of roofs over many years. The inert nature of the mat means that it can also be used as an efficient separation layer under sheets of supple PVC.
It is also used for the production of PVC or EPDM roofing membranes. Likewise, it gives those membranes the desired dimensional stability. It is saturated by a continuous process with modified bitumen, PVC or EDPM, to obtain waterproof membranes to be afterwards placed on roofs (flamed, glued or mechanically fixed).
Features:
1) High mechanical strength during production of finished product
2) Absolute rot proof and resistant to all weather conditions
3) Good dimensional stability
4) Chemically inert and non-toxic
5) Allow a uniform impregnation and not subject to cracking, breaking and splitting
6) Excellent resistance to UV light
Each roll is winded onto a paper tube and then wrapped up with plastic film, which can be packed in a cardboard box or wrapped up with kraft paper. The rolls are to be horizontally placed. Rolls can be loaded into a container directly or on pallets.
Unless otherwise specified, fiberglass products should be stored in a dry, cool and rainproof area. It is recommended that room temperature between 10 and 35°C and humidity between 30% and 85%.
